Wapo Sunday (February 5th)

Sunday school and youth forum students will have the opportunity to hear all about Camp Wapo from Staphanie Voss on Sunday, February 5th!  Come see and hear all about Camp Wapogasset and this year’s camping opportunities!

Kids Against Hunger is Sunday, February 19th
10 a.m. - 12 Noon

All Sunday school and Youth Forum students are invited to participate in Kids Against Hunger on Sunday, February 19th. There will be a pizza party back here at SPLC following the food pack. We will be looking for a few lucky parents/volunteers to donate pop for the pizza party. Please sign up by Sunday, February 5th.The sign-up sheet is located on the welcome table outside of the sanctuary. Transportation is not provided, please arrange your own rides to and from Andersen Corp. (located in the old St. Croix mall). 

Youth gathering meeting Wednesday,
February 15th at 7:50 PM, after youth group

The participants going to New Orleans will be having a group meeting on Wednesday February 15th, at 7:50pm in the Youth Room. All are invited to youth group prior to the meeting. (Youth group runs from 6 pm-7:45 pm)

Youth worship service 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 19th   

There will be an all-youth worship service at 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 19th.  All youth, 7th-12th grade, are invited to come for a Vespers-style worship service. We need volunteers to play for it, please contact Shannon if you are interested and she will send you the music for the event. 

30 hour famine Friday, February 24th & 25th

Junior high students are invited to participate in the 30 Hour Famine at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stillwater. We will be fasting for 30 hours, learning about hunger in the world, doing service around Stillwater and of course having fun! Senior high students are also needed to be Senior High Leaders for this event. Several churches in the area will be participating, so come & join all of your friends for an event that will have a major impact on your life! Forms are due in to Shannon by Sunday, February 5th. (Turn them into her mailbox or the church office.)

YOUTH FORUM

Youth Forum is going strong.  Youth Forum, with students meeting Sunday mornings, begins in full swing the following Sunday.  Youth Forum participants will have the opportunity to use their leadership skills to help the younger Sunday School students as well as having their own Sunday School experience.  If you are a youth in 7th - 12th grade, please come join us!  We'd love to have you!

CONFIRMATION 2011-2012

Confirmation classes for 7th - 9th graders meet on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m.    All confirmation students are in for an exciting year!   7th grade students will be learning Old and New Testament from Intern Pastor Tim Maybee (a man well-versed in both Bible literacy and Bible Humor).  8th grade students will be learning doctrine and church history from none other than: Pastor Mark Becker.  9th grade students will be learning real life applications and discipleship from me, Shannon McCabe!  It is sure to be an amazing year full of growth and experiences!
